Are these colours for use directly or would you recommend they be 'diluted' to create the right effect in game? I know skinners in the old IL2 would often adjust colours to prevent them overwhelming the small models.

Yeah in IL-2:1946 I always desaturated by 20%. For BoS I have not had to do this.

Would it be possible to tell me how to open the file "aco." ?.

aco is an adobe photoshop file format. You can open it in photoshop or in other things like GIMP if you have the right extension/application (I don't).  actually I can import it :)  - like all things GIMP it takes a while to work out how to do anything.... :(

 

BTW thanks Panzerbar.  Useful to have in this format.

Sorry Hartmann, see my edit: I can open it in GIMP without an extension, it just took me a while to find out how as I have not used the Palettes function much.  The GIMP on line tutorial explains how to do it.
