Dark_Jak Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Hi there guys, just bought the game and from my Laptop settings I easly play the game. The problem is that when I open the game on the steam everything in extremly slow, the mouse just drags, when I play it gets better but not playable I alredy try to lower from Higher to Medium to Low and it dosn't change a thing. I'm using a Asus N551JK i74710HQ256GB SSD12GB RAMNvidia GTX 850M 4gb DDR3Any ideas how to solve this?Best Regards
Fishbed64 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 The solution is pretty simple actually you need gaming PC,there is no way that BOS run on your notebook especially your gpu 850M is pretty slow for most todays games.
Dark_Jak Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Ok, I think I manage to solve the problem my IL-2.exe was opening with the integrated GPU not the GTX850M GPU, and I think that was the reason for the enormes lag. Yes I know that I should have a gaming PC, and I have back home, but since I spend 11 months of the year away from home I needed a solution, and a Laptop was the only one I manage to find I know that the 850m its not the best or the top of the line, but I've seen a lot of videos and It can do the job some of the latest game.
Fishbed64 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 GTX850M GPU yes this gpu can handle some modern games but only some of them and with lowest settings, flight sims like BOS are just too demanding for this gpu. How many fps you get with that notebook? i am really curious.
Dark_Jak Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) I have no idea how can I see the FPS? But at the moment I'm playing the game with the High settings with no problems at all, at 1920x1080 Edited January 4, 2015 by Dark_Jak
Dark_Jak Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Just used fraps to get an idea of my fps On the main Menu with settings High with resolution 1920x1080 I get around 30FPSI ddi a quick test on a quick mission with 16 planes flying I get inside cockpit around 55 to 60 since I'm in game limited to 60fps and outsid view around 40 to 50 fpsNot to bad I think, I'm gonna try to lower the resolution a little bit probably I'll get higher FPS
Fishbed64 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Around 55fps in 1080p with high sets that sounds hardly believable with that GPU with only 28gbs memory bandwidth,am surprised to say at least, but am glad if its working for you,you can play with that notebook.
Zettman Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 GTX850M GPU yes this gpu can handle some modern games but only some of them and with lowest settings, flight sims like BOS are just too demanding for this gpu. S! IL2 BoS is not really GPU demanding. It is the CPU that is limiting him. Zettman 1
Fishbed64 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 "IL2 BoS is not really GPU demanding. It is the CPU that is limiting him" That is true but you still need!!! gpu grade at least GTX660 or R9 270 ,GTX850M is way way slower than those two.

Just read myself a bit into notebook graphiccards and was suprise that they are still nowhere near their Desktop counterparts. I thought modern notebook GPUs were be a bit more potent these days (my last notebook that I used for gaming had a GTX555m). He will need to buy a potent gaming laptop or a medium desktop PC (the cheaper solution) to increase FPS. Zettman
IRRE_Golgoth21 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Hello you should check these settings. It works great with a gtx 860m http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/3296-reglages-nvidia/?do=findComment&comment=70321
