-Roy-Cheesy-Chops Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 i take it your not allowed to shoot or bomb when an aeroplane is on the runway.. whats the rules here..stationary--taking of--taxi --landing--landed or crash landing --emergency landing of the field hows it work?? i just got two kills for it and didnt know sorry. if its banned. maybe why i got booted from server? what about in an il2? when can we fire on a taking off aeroplane ? my first game online i got shot when taxing out is that allowed thats why i got those two kills there last time. out i got called out for it what the server say? can i drop bombs infront of the stationary aeroplane to make it hard to take off then wait up high for it to take off in my il2 the il2 is ground attack so i attack things on the ground maybe its different if they see me comeing and pop a flair tell me there done for.. i came forth twice tonight i havent even been playing this for long im brand new to il2 bos and i came 4th just a few hours ago nobody helped me out ..i did call out for assistance but nobody came to support me and i got bounced but in the end mostly ground fire got me but i didnt die i well chuffed with myself ....pat on the back for me... Tartan ate one out i took on 4 or 5 planes tonight two i got "down" to the ground and two i got "on" the ground i was in a IL2
SE.VH_Boemundo Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) Hello! If it's allowed or not to strafe airbases depends on the server rules! Edited January 4, 2015 by Tales
-Roy-Cheesy-Chops Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 do i get points for bringing a 109 down to crash into the ground or with aaa i just got two 109s that way one into a hill and one due to its own home guard AAA and i take it the il2 gets alot of points for kills. thats great cos its hard to come home in one .. if you make it home after a kill the landing counts as 100% and a successfull crash landing counts as 50% which is what double points? ok thx tales i was going down hard from AAA and took a 190 down with me lol by ramming him thats not allowed it gave me a warning.. the pilot did complain too
FlatSpinMan Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Generally, if you're in a fighter it's frowned upon by many (but not all) to strafe planes taking off. In an IL2 or Stuka it should be okay, although it is annoying to get blown up on the runway. Ramming is never cool as it doesn't take much skill. It does happen by accident sometimes of course, so it's always good to say sorry. Ramming a bomber is a heinous crime because life online for bomber pilots is hard enough as it is without some yahoo taking them down so artlessly. Another no-no is kill stealing. If someone has hit another plane and caused it serious damage, leave it. If you fire a few rounds in on the way down you might unfairly be awarded the kill. Also, if someone is on the tail of a plane and you are in the attacking plane's winghman position, don't shoot. It's dangerous for the lead plane and is also bad manners. Just off hand, those are some things to be aware of. It's always sensible to read the briefings and server rules. 2
-Roy-Cheesy-Chops Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 excelent thank you very much have a happy new year flat spin man

-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Accidental rammings do occur with all at one time or another. It's best to get on chat as quickly as you can and apologize. Most will understand even if they are a little miffed. Intentional ramming, is never a good thing nor, on most servers, tolerated. You see unlike most Arcade games, most pilots of a flight simulation try to stay alive by returning to base or if necessary, bailing out. At the very least someone ramming them robs them of precious time on the server. Always let the other pilots know you didn't mean to do such things. It helps. Chief
FlatSpinMan Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I'd add that attacking planes on the ground with rockets and bombs is fine. Some might not like it but attack aircraft gotta attack.
Feathered_IV Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Add shooting at parachutes as another habit usually considered a dick move.
Bearcat Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 It is not the attacking of planes on the ground that is frowned upon in and of itself.. It is hanging around bases waiting for planes to spawn and then attacking them. That is what is considered in poor taste by most folks.. If you are going to do that sort of thing then do it like it was done.. strafe the base and go home... Those are not hard and fast rules.. just IMO rules to fly by.
I./JG1_Baron Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) Add shooting at parachutes as another habit usually considered a dick move. Yeah... one hero in La5 shoot me on parachute when i bailed out from flaming He-111. He is really hero. It was yesterday on Syndicate server. Edited January 4, 2015 by II./JG1_Baron
6./ZG26_Gielow Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 It is a war. Anything can happens. Be smart and stay alive. Don't care about what other people say.
M4rgaux Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 If it move, shoot it. If it doesn't move, it should have, shoot it. If it's friendly, it's in the way, shoot it. If you can't shoot it, ram it. All is fair in love and war
ACG_Smokejumper Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Add shooting at parachutes as another habit usually considered a dick move. Can you even kill a guy in a shoot? I've never tried.
