71st_AH_Vertigo Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 For some reason, my throttle doesn't work in the Russian birds only... It did this once before back in early development, and I think it was a subsequent patch that finally corrected it.. In the controls setup panel, under my engine throttle settings, the input/output is inverted so that all you ever achieve is 0 - 50% input and then back down from 50% (at center) back down to 0% (at full throttle..) I've tried checking the input box and it does invert the settings but stays backwards.. (if that makes sense..) And the German birds are unaffected.. Anybody else ever run into this..? Thx in advance, V
Sokol1 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Reset you controls to default and assign all again. If you have difficult in assign commands, save print screen of actual assignments to use as reference.
=69.GIAP=MYATA Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Have the same issue with my second saitek quad but with axis x and y only. Axis z works without issues. I have the suspicion the problem has something to do with the ids of the USB devices. I use a Warthog, Simped pedals and 1 and 1/3 rd of the two quads at the moment. I'll try to reassign my controls tomorrow again but I don't think this solves the problem.
AndyJWest Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Just a thought. I seem to remember having a problem with my Saitek ST 290 pro joystick throttle at one point - I found that if I set it half way before assigning it, and then moving it to its limits in both directions as I set the control, it worked from then on. andyw248 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 When assigning controls it's important to: Start in a neutral position (in the middle for the levers) Then move them to the upper limit sharply so that they actually hit that upper limit Then move them to the lower limit sharply I had this problem once with my Saiteks, but solved it as described.
Elbows Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 71st, I've had the same problem. Didn't change my settings or anything, came back to play BOS about a week ago and my Pe-2 wouldn't do much at all on the runway... I was so ticked off I quit for the night. I'll have to go back and take a look at fixing it. Like you, I ran into that same issue a few months ago during the Beta. No changes have been made to my controllers (T-Flight Hotas) or my assignments.
71st_AH_Vertigo Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Welp... I've tried resetting to default and reassigning... No joy. It's so weird that the russian planes are affected and yet the german planes are fine... I mean you can see the crossed up input in the setup window, just dunno why all planes are not affected. Seems like it started with the latest Christmas tree patch.. I hate to do it, but I wonder if I need to uninstall and reinstall.. :/

In game you can press the gray box to the right of the key binding to test if the axis works correctly. Worth a shot before downloading the whole game again.
