SCGSalty64 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I created yesterday a profile for BOS, however after initiating the Target software and going in the game, the vast majority of my buttons and axis were not recognized. I can go in directly without Target and assign axis and buttons and they are recognized with a few exceptions, some of the momentary switches are not recognized and I can't get the toe brakes recognized for the German aircraft. Going directly allows me to fly but some of the throttle buttons on the right side will not work. I ended up using the split left hand throttle as my fuel mixture control. So knowing others who have published some profiles, I wonder if they faced a similar problem but found a way to get the profile to work or discovered some other tactics that helped them. Some advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
dburne Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hi Salty, I use TARGET profiles for pretty much all my sims, and it works great. OK, first you say you initiated TARGET, you did actually " run" the profile correct? Secondly, you want to set up all your axis assignments in BOS while the profile is running. When the profile is running it combines both joystick and throttle into one single virtual controller. Once you have all the axis assigned properly as you want them, then all your button assignments will come from within how you have them assigned in the TARGET profile. You can test them as you go, with the event tester within TARGET to make sure they are working properly.
SCGSalty64 Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 Yes, I ran the profile and attempted to assign all the axis in the control settings but when I entered the sim to fly, many of my buttons and switches were not recognized. Since I wrote this topic, I have found ways to directly map my Warthog without using the Target profile software. I can fly now but I will still revisit my profile to see if I can get it to work. Thanks for responding.
dburne Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Well your buttons and switches, you have to assign to the correct corresponding key command, long as you do that and those keys are assigned properly within the sim, they should work...
