VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Brief description: I had an instance where I could not see some aircraft in game while others were visible. Detailed description, conditions: While taxiing on the eastern most airfield in a LaGG on the Syndicate server yesterday I came across two other aircraft that were taxiing that I was not able to see except for the blowing snow from their props. This was not a short glitch but lasted the entire time I taxied out and tookoff and flew over the airfield. It happened again on a different sortie at the same airfield. FlatSpinMan Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hmm. I don't suppose you managed to get a track of it? That'd make for interesting viewing.
Lusekofte Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) I can confirm this, I do not think it is actually planes in game, I think it might be planes abandoned. I heard this engine sound right in front of me spawning. I started up and drove right thru the invisible plane witch showed itself just as snow dust whirling and engine sound. It has no hit boxes , so I forgot all about it. I think this happened a week ago Edited January 2, 2015 by LG1.Jaeger
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) ...I think it might be planes abandoned. Abandoned planes that taxi? Will do on the track if I see it again. One thing though, I have recorded weird things but upon review they do not appear, so it is not always the clincher. Edited January 2, 2015 by VR_Stick
IRRE_Chaps Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I see the same like a ground run.See the screen below No track of that because dont see any more
J2_Trupobaw Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) There is a very similar bug in RoF; if the mission data you get from server get corrupted in "right" way, you fly an invisible plane; you can't see or be seen by other planes, you can't see balloons or ground vehicles. The AAA ignores you, too. When it happened when in two-seater, my gunner reported enemy planes nearby I never saw; they ignored us, too. It's like you flied over completely empty server, except you see enviromental effects. I've landed on enemy airfield asking on the chat if anyone can see enemy planes taxiing in circles there. No one could; our planes raided the airfield, there were supposedly many planes around me, but all i saw was empty airfield and hangars exploding when planes I could see bombed them. Keep your mission files, though If you saw other planes I think it's these two that experienced the bug. The way to fix it in RoF is to delete mission files and reconnect to server. SYN_Jedders Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I have also had this bug. In fact I recorded a session with me getting damaged by other people on the server that being able to see them...quite fun actually.
