KG200_Volker Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 And if I I bought this game in believe, it will be simulator as old IL 2 was. But it seems, despite good graphics, its far from But the trim is adjustable, the same way was in real life, if it had buttons it is simulated with buttons and the appropriate time it needed for the travel. I reckon that this is a part of a simulation, if it was moved instantly by the use of an axis where there was none IRL it misses the point of a simulator. If a plane was problematic on the way that it’s trims worked don’t you want it represented in a simulator? Before the patch remedy the BFs pitch “trim” travel time you would see funny things from LW doing turns that put in shame a helicopter. Something else that we have to consider, simulations of any of vehicle unfortunately need the appropriate gear for their individual needs. The closer to real the simulation goes the more demanding in gear they are. I hope this view will make a bit of you frustration go away and enjoy a bit more a very good piece of software that you have in your PC.
SCG_motoadve Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Lots of planes have trim wheels, not only the 109. Hope developers fix this so we can use the Cessna trim wheel for the ones that did have a trim wheel in real life. Its meant to be a simulator, it probably went past the team if no one used a trim wheel when testing.
ATAG_SKUD Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 (edited) My Saitek Cessna trim wheel works fine in COD. It is a brick in BOS. It would be much appreciated if the devs could add this simple feature. Edited February 13, 2018 by ATAGSKUD

Dev's are aware, it is not that many aircraft have trim wheels, but only the 109 has horizontal stabilizer with trim wheel (+Mc 202 ) although the principle result is the same, trim tabs on trim wheel are a quite a different system, there has been said the intention is to include all aircraft with trim wheels in the future it is on the 'list' and a much desired feature by many, so there is hope Cheers, Dakpilot

ACG_Maltloaf Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 (edited) It has all been said here already but adding a post just to add weight. Almost all ac have a trim wheel or similar. EVERY other sim on the market from day one including IL2 and MS FS 2000 accommodates analogue trim control. Many people have Cessna type wheels that they use on all their other sims and those who have custom Sim Pits will have analogue control which they have spent a great deal of effort building. As someone said above, there is no argument here. It is a major flaw, pilots should be trim, trim, trimming continuously with every change of speed and attitude from the second they take off to the moment they land. Not doing so is rubbish airmanship, unrealistic and pressing buttons is also rubbish. Get it fixed! Edited March 18, 2018 by No_610Maltloaf
Stig Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 Tthe devs have already said that they will look at this and fix it when time allows, iirc.

Such trims should stay as they are now.
ACG_Maltloaf Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 The P-40 also has trim wheels for both pitch and roll so I don't see the argument? Nobody is suggesting they remove button presses anyway. A lot of people use HOTAS or keyboards, I understand that. If the developers say they will address it then fantastic. As I said, just nudging the cause a bit.
