franx Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I'm having a terrible time getting any stability in-flight with my Logitech controller. What am I doing wrong? In the air I immediately start wiobbling, spinning and crash. Never had this problem in other sims. Can somebody suggest what might be happening?
Y-29.Silky Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Your sensitivity is too high.. I'd lower it a lot, especially for that joystick.
franx Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 I'll give that a try and report back. Thanks.
franx Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 OK, that helps a some, but frankly I'm having trouble even getting in the air from a full stop takeoff. Can anyone point me to an idiot's guide to programming for this sim? I just end up spinning off the runway every time I try to takeoff -- and I've spent hours on LOMAC, F4, etc, so I'm not a complete noob.
303_Kwiatek Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) Buy another joystick these is the best advice I suppose these stick got standart pots ( not optical or magnetic) so try to check if pots work smooth and correctly first. I got many years ago Logitech sticks and all of them got pots problems after short time. BTW do you used pedals for yaw or just twist stick? Edited December 30, 2014 by Kwiatek
franx Posted December 31, 2014 Author Posted December 31, 2014 BoS doesn't recognize the stick's twist action for yaw. ;(

franx Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 Thanks downed pilot. Will try. Have you had any luck getting the sim to recognize the twist action of your stick as yaw input?
downedpilot Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Thanks downed pilot. Will try. Have you had any luck getting the sim to recognize the twist action of your stick as yaw input? hi go to properties this will let u test stick hi go to properties this will let u test stick i use the twist as rudder only, has i said if u have win 8.1 wingman soft ware has a hard job working, only auto load works true for me but buttons use as u wish. hi go to properties this will let u test stick all so be aware of clean up soft ware u can lose all of u joy stick settings every time u use it
Sokol1 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Try use that joystick without install Logitech software if possible, just with Windows HID PnP drivers. In case for program additional function for joystick buttons use Joytokey, Xpadder, they are "bullet proof". And for test, try set this twist axis to other function than rudder (radiator..), just to see if this axis work in game at all.
CorsairHundo Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Are you serious? BoS doesn't recognize the stick's twist action for yaw. ;(
franx Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Yes. Very serious. It does not recognize the twist action.
CorsairHundo Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 So this is for all joysticks then, not just this model? Yes. Very serious. It does not recognize the twist action.
SYN_Mike77 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 It reads twist sticks for rudder control just fine. You just need to set it in the controls.
CorsairHundo Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Ok thanks for the clarity. That's the stick I have now and a thrustmaster. It reads twist sticks for rudder control just fine. You just need to set it in the controls.
franx Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Yes, that seems to be true with others' experiences. But not mine; it may be a deficit. Edited January 2, 2015 by franx

CorsairHundo Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Well I finally pulled the trigger and bought this sim/game. Hopefully my logitech will work with "twist" until I get my rudder pedals
Sokol1 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hopefully my logitech will work with "twist" until I get my rudder pedals If that "twist" don't "twist" the planes, you have Z and X keys for move rudder for left/right... but no key for re-center... so count the press in each direction...
CorsairHundo Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 For the most part I normally just use the "twist" for take offs to keep it straight. Thanks If that "twist" don't "twist" the planes, you have Z and X keys for move rudder for left/right... but no key for re-center... so count the press in each direction...
