TG-55Panthercules Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I got bored with the plain blue background of the skin viewer, so I whipped up a little mod for my own use as I begin experimenting with BoS skinning: (Of course, the background has no plane on it - just wanted to show it above with one of my personal skins so you can get a feel for how it looks in action in the viewer). In case anybody else might like to use it, I have put it in a JSGME-ready mod package and made it available here: https://www.mediafire.com/?7prj0sbkra98opr Just unzip this into your MODS folder and activate it with JSGME per usual. You can use your own screenshot/picture as a background it you wish - just replace the "splash.jpg" file in the above mod with one of your own choosing. Enjoy! 2

TG-55Panthercules Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) Great mod Panther but can you tell me how to install it into BOS manually without JSGME tthankyou. Don't do it - always use JSGME Now that I've given you my standard warning, installing it manually is actually quite easy, if you insist on doing it that way. Using Windows Explorer (file manager), simply copy the "data" folder inside my D/L package into your main "IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad" folder. That's all JSGME is going to do with it - it's just that JSGME keeps track of what you've done and makes it really easy to back it out later if you decide to do so. (NOTE - the relevant file and all the folder structure is already in place "below" the data folder in my D/L package, so if you just copy the data folder as I stated above everything will automatically be in the right place below that folder and you won't need to worry about creating any of the new folders you don't already have). viperrm64 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Thanks Panther and Extralarge will take advice about JSGME into consideration .
