King_Richard Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 (edited) Is there any way to add more "deadband" to the joysticks axis? My rudder controls are unable to move the full range of motion comfortably and I cannot narrow the band enough to get full movement out the rudder in game. Tried vJoy with Joystickcurves but that doesn't allow me to set a deadband on the edges. Any help is appreciated. Unable to find in a quick search so forgive me if it's already been mentioned. oneeyeddog Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 King Richard, go to settings, controls. Under Pitch, roll , yaw, If you clik on the box in the far left column you will open up options that will allow you to configure dead zones.
FlyingH Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 King_Richard, that would be in the far RIGHT column!!
xedoc Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Tried vJoy with Joystickcurves but that doesn't allow me to set a deadband on the edges. You doing it wrong Here is screenshot of my settings for throttle in BoS. It solve limited range problem (my Saitek won't move over 99%) and adds three snap zones:
oneeyeddog Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 King_Richard, that would be in the far RIGHT column!! Thanks FlyingH for the correction.
von_Greiff Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 First time that I hear about vjoy, so i googled it. They are up to version 1.2
SvAF/F16_Goblin Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 AFAIK it's version 2.04 http://vjoystick.sourceforge.net/site/index.php/download-a-install
King_Richard Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Thanks everyone, xedoc's solution looks like it should work. However, I'm now having issues re-installing vjoy after I moved my OS to a ssd, windows re-install time perhaps. Thanks again, Richard
