andyw248 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Yes, but other aircraft don't need that, braking one wheel is enough to keep them straight, only Lagg does his victory dance. And La-5 to some extent The LaGG and the La-5 need this kind of attention because their tailwheel can't be locked. A lockable tailwheel adds to the directional stability. You can prove this by "forgetting" to lock the tailwheel in those aircraft that have a lockable tailwheel. If you do, you will need the same technique as with the LaGG and La-5.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 (edited) It's been several months since I flew them but you can manage the Russian aircraft without blipping. You just have to stay way ahead of them with the rudder. (I have pedals) (Also, throttling up is admittedly the better technique) Edited January 7, 2015 by HerrMurf
