[uPDATED 30DEC14] v1.4 FINAL - Bf-109F-2 of Oblt. Hans-Ekkhard Bob, Gelbe 9, 9./JG54, WN.r 163195, 1942

Change log:

  • Gruppe tactical ID added
  • Geschwaderstab emblem added to starboard side
  • Canopy painted
  • There was an area behind the prop on the engine cowl that should be white 3/4 the way around from left side to right side but no continuing to the bottom (belly)
  • Exhaust shrouds painted yellow like they should be
  • Chips cleared away from Staffel emblem for better viewing
  • Small cantilever shrouds on ailerons where white and supposed to be yellow
  • Radio antenna post at mid epenage was white and supposed to be yellow
  • Small intake on starboard side just ahead and under the canopy was white and supposed to be yellow
  • See image for additional changes and special thanks to Stab/JG52_DiO for helping me correct the yellow paint areas.

Hi Parisek.

Great work, thank you for working on hungarian skins. If you don't mind, I want to add some info, fixing couple small errors.

 

- The red puma head always look forward, no matter which side of the cowling. (right: http://kepkezelo.com/images/01kcbj03cdn3l18uezqf.jpg left: http://kepkezelo.com/images/j6zg5lfawigsz76m2n00.jpg )

 

- There is no black text in the red ring (the resolution is low, but it seems to me, that there is a black text in the emblem). The "vezérünk a bátorság, kísérőnk a szerencse" text was written only in the emblems of the New-age "Puma" squadron (Mig-29 and Gripens). There was no text in the ww2 emblem (Its a G-6, the emblem is smaller, but the shape is the same http://kepkezelo.com/images/5ihwhyjb7lzvznk3tnk.jpg )

 

- The second skin, the brown-gray-green painting was only on the first F-4 which was introduced in Hungary, and they flew a country-tour with it. This painting was no registration numbers either. Never flew in russia, and of course never flew in combat (the devs choosed it as "unlock" skin for some reason). This skin was not use in the Puma squadron either.

For some reason, the Yellow 9 skin does not show in my game,,,the others do, however.

Hey, even adding two skins on Bf 109F ( although F1 and F2) These are from the combat zone above the canal and on the winter map will not fit, but I like it, so perhaps someone happy.

Change log:

  • Canopy painted RLM70 as well as propeller blades
  • Exhaust shrouds painted yellow like they should be
  • RLM Colors corrected, RLM04 used for tactical markings, RLM27 used for theater markings
  • 1/3 white spinner cap added
  • New layered armored glass effect. Equip and look at 3rd person model at an angle that shows the thickness and you will see the green/blue layered panes.
  • Wheel paint bug corrected. The whole wheel is now black
  • Although not depicted in the image above the Molders emblem now faces the correct direction on the port side.

Hello there fellow pilots,


 


I have added my second Bf 109F-4 skin to my museum.


Bf-109F-2 "Black Chevron and Bars" Flown by famous ace Hauptmann Hans Philipp, March 1942


He is credited with 206 enemy aircraft shot down in over 500 combat missions. The majority of his victories were claimed over the Eastern Front, with 29 claims over the Western Front.


He was Gruppenkommandeur 1, part of JG 54.


He was shot down on 8 October 1943 during an attack on B-17's returning to Britten. It is believed that he was shot down by a P-47 Thunderbolt although this has never been confirmed. He managed to bail out of his plane but his failed to open.


This skin is Historically accurate. (I know it is an F-2 and not an F-4 but I decided to make it anyway since there is no visible difference between the planes)


I will be posting all my skins in my Museum where you can watch them and even get them yourself!
