Playing a career BoS on Yak-1 (69), made an appropriate 4k skin-pack (9 skins with numbers from "41 red" to "49 red"). Typical winter coloring and writing of numbers for the period 1942/43 were taken as a basis.

I wanted a set of generic skins for my PWCG campaign, so I dipped my toes into the skin creation pool and created these. These are completely non-historic.

 

They are my first skins, and are just the basic template with numbers 1-12, both summer and winter camo.

I think that was an earlier variant, pre Type 69. Maybe production or quality control problems led to the hardtop design. The Soviets did have problems with plexiglass production and quality until DuPont helped them out with plant and raw materials IIRC

Again, the geometry of the cockpit is different from our IL2 model and the side profile. Were there many more differences?

Seeing the latest update, and that is not actually available in the base game, I made a generic white winter camo to write custom tactical codes over it...

Just to clarify: There is no plain full white winter camo for the Yak1s69 in Battle of Stalingrad, that's why this skin is so basic...
