Hi !

Thanks for posting my work "Pips" because of some internet issues in my place... ;)

I just wanted to show the model I took as inspiration, it's one from a Yak 1b http://www.hyperscale.com/features/2000/yak1bfc_1.htm so not exactly the same as it is in the game but i found it cool, any opinion,

observation or advice are the most welcome !

Feel free also to ask a specific skin about Yak :salute:

Really very good skins Iceman, big thanks to you, i only want to mention about number 26, on VVS planes victories stars usually were painted only on one side.

Did a Norwegian style Yak skin today, much in the style of the Glosters we used to have around 1940, and with the 1945 airforce logo.
I named it "Mr. Norway", as it is what the people I usually play with tend to call me in game:)

Hello there fellow pilots,

I have added my first Yak-1 skin to my museum.

Yak-1 "М. Д. Баранов" Flown by ace Mikhail Dmitrievich Baranov (Михаил Дмитриевич Баранов), Summer 1942

Mikhail was the leading Soviet ace during the Battle of Stalingrad with 24 victories.

Mikhail Baranov was part of the 183 IAP (Istrevitelnyy Aviatsionyy Polk = Fighter Aviation Regiment) of the 269 IAD (Istrevitelnaya Aviatsionnaya Diviziya = Fighter Aviation Division) of the 8 VA (Vozdushnaya Armiya = Air Army).

He died in an accident on 15 January 1943 while testing a Yak-1.

I know this plane is already in the game but it is filled with flaws so I decided to make my own version.

This skin is Historically accurate.

I have posted this skin in my Museum where you can watch all of my skins and even get them yourself!

Not that I'm strongly against it, but at least I was in disbelief. Yak-1 Rechetov did not like:

Or Reshetov had several Yak-1?

Found an interesting article on Mikhail Baranov. See skin above. http://www.rkka.es/Otros_articulos/30_Mijail_Baranov/001_Mijail_Baranov.htm

What is nice is that there is a detailed reconciliation of his victory claims. Contains the full spectrum of fighters.. F4/G2/Macchi and others... and a few unlucky Hs129!. What is further interesting is that the author even cross-referenced to german war records for damage and also could link to individual pilots..

Tickets in red indicate losses the Luftwaffe attributed to a cause other than air combat.

Entries in blue indicate victories that were not officially accredited to Baranov, but the testimonies of other pilots confirmed, and are also supported by the Luftwaffe.

Hs 126, not 129. Hs 126 was a tactical reconnaissance/observation/liaison aircraft.
