small upgrade for 1.008 always fails

hello all, I see there is a small upgrade from the last one just a few days ago. my launcher always says update fails, it scans fore a few seconds or maybe does nothing at all and always says the same thing update fail.

 

any ideas ? if I change the installer do I loose the whole game ?

I'm not sure what exactly to do (maybe a recovery?)  but before you do anything, make sure you make a copy of your controls and save them outside of the game!  Then after....whatever, you can drop them back in and save your self an hour or so of rebinding all your keys and controls!

 

Ps someone who knows what they are talking about will drop in shortly to explain what you can do, it's a very helpful crowd here!

Hello Leo 96. I had the exact same problem but found a recent post where someone suggested deleting the contents of the "updates" folder (....1C Game Studios/IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad/updates) and trying again. this solution worked perfectly for me.
