How does the r9 270x perform in this game?

Well now i have a decent rig (i5 3550, 16 GB RAM, GA-z77-ds3h) but with a poor hd 6570 (and a PSU that i will probably replace but that's not the question here).

So how well would the mentioned card do in the game? I don't plan on going higher than 1920x1080 regarding resolution.

Searching the forums i've read about some problems with the card but those were during earlier development stages. So what's your opinion/experience?

No one wants to help me out or just get in an AMD vs nVidia discussion? Then something is definitely up with this forum

I would be glad to help but I have no experience with the AMD stuff. Someone with some knowledge will probably pop in some time.

Ok thanks  :salute:

I'm actually thinking about getting either an r9 270x or gtx 760, the 760 being probably better but it costs like 15-16 % more here

r9 270x with your core i5 runs Bos on high with no problem but in your case i will buy just little bit more expensive (20$) r9 280(MSI gaming version is nice)that is much stronger GPU for just little bit more money.

I've heard that the ATI cards have trouble with DX 9 games like BoS due to lack of driver support.

I have a r270X ddr5 2gig and I have no problem running BOS, ROF, TFcliffs or DCS. on an Asus MOBO (m5a99fx) with a Phenom 2 x4 and 6 gig of ram. Yes the x4 is getting older but it still holds up for what I need.

Oh and that's on settings maxed out, all the eye candy. I do turn hdr off in ROF for on line and run high on BOS on line. It just disables the SSAO and stops the little micro studders. But for a cheaper card for the budget minded it works well. I'm happy with it.

This is not true at all AMD cards have problem in DCS world yes,but in every other dx9 game they are fine and even usually better than Nvidia card in same price segment.
