How easy / hard will it be for new pilots to play BOS?

All german 109 pilots had to be proficient on the Bücker Jungmann (Alby is a great substitute)  first, before they continued with the FW44, Klemm35 etc. until they did their first 109 flight.

Ok, this seems like an obvious point, but think about what it means.  People specially selected for their aptitude were taught in classrooms and in the air until they were proficient on a basic trainer, and then were either "chopped" if they weren't up to it or allowed to progress to the next level, further training and weeding out continued as the machines got more twitchy and complex until only the most able and well-trained were put in the 109...

If this game is a reasonably high-fidelity simulator (not going to get into the semantics of what a sim is) then it puts you in the position of that selected, trained pilot with hours of training under their belt...Yes, it will be hard if you're coming to it from scratch.  It's not a bad thing - that is what most of the people here are looking for.

My point is: don't be put off it it seems daunting when you start.  I bet nobody, but nobody, trains themselves up to a realistic degree before trying combat (on- or off-line)
