tormato Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Hey, I purchased the game last night on Steam and had no issues playing at all. I tried to play today after the latest update to v1.008 and the game will not launch at all, with no indication that it even tried to. I've checked the task manager and it is not running. Any ideas?
vonPilsner Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Maybe you will have to reinstall??? Maybe move the startup.cfg file out of the 'data' folder and see if the game starts (I've had that file be corrupt or inaccurate and the game does not want to start, but I usually get an error message).
Zak Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Yes, Steam must have failed to update the client in time. You could try to do that manually or use vonPilsner's advice.
SJ_Butcher Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 I have the same problem, I have the game in steam so I checked the integrity of files, all ok, can't play the game now...
1./ZG1_ElHadji Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Could it be related to this? http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/13643-direct3d-problem/ I do get a error message on screen though.
SJ_Butcher Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 (edited) Nope, just the game don't launch, I am thinking its a problem of Nvidia crap drivers, latelly their drivers are really bad EDIT: I rollback to the previous drivers (the ones that run the game fine after the patch). The problem is in the game, where is the log? or something that identify the failure? Edited December 25, 2014 by SJ_Butcher
SJ_Butcher Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Reinstalled everything from steam and it works, check the integrity don't work, and launch the launcher don't too, maybe is a little bug.
