What's up with the hokey medals?

I collect medals. I loves them. They are muoy beautiful : )

As a matter of fact, my favorite thing about the earlier IL2's (and RoF) was the awards. It was just a little something, but it was really fun to me. 

Is there any plan to put the real medals in the game? I'm not sure if everyone knows, but there are de-"you-know-who"-ified medals that were reissued to German recipients in 1957. So the swastika wouldn't be an issue. 

I'd definitely help if you guys needed someone to make the medals in an image editor. 

The random medals in the campaign, now, just kinda make you go "meh"

I feel no connection to any of this stuff the way I do my Iron Cross 1st/2nd class or anything else I've collected in RoF.

As you don't fly as a single pilot in the campaign mode real medals wouldn't make to much sense, who would get them?

 

I think these fantasy medals are a good way to tell the history of the battle, at least in the way the campaign is implemented.

I agree. I'd save the historical medals for an actual career mode.
