Finkeren Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) The shortest day of the year (north of the Equator anyway) is always a time of joy for me, and the greatest thing about it is, that you can share it with everyone regardless of their religious beliefs, cultural background or country of origin. As long as you live on the Northern Hemisphere some distance from the Equator (which most of the Worlds population does), you can appreciate the fact that the astronimical year has turned, and the days are finally getting longer again. (sorry for the oceans of blood in that picture, I don't know what's up with that) Therefore: MERRY WINTER SOLSTICE ONE AND ALL! Edited December 21, 2014 by Finkeren 4
sallee Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I'll send you the bill for having my retina replaced, but, yes, it is rather fun isn't it! This is when people should be at stonehenge!
Finkeren Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 (edited) you know what you're really celebrating Sure do. As with most recurring holidays it's really a celebration of astronomical events. Edited December 22, 2014 by Finkeren 1
LUCYKANE Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 It seems much longer for me and some of my friends from teachers and summer vacation seems a dim and distant dream. I decided to put one of my vacation photos to my computer as a screensaver to remind me of how relaxed he was above my vacation time. New Year Greeting Messages
