54th_Black_Paladin Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 ~S~ all. I just installed this game hoping to get back into flight sim again. When I start the game the curser lags along with the picture in the menu. When flying there is constant lagging. I have searched this forum and tried many setting changes and the only one that helps is the resolution and still lagging and not acceptable to fly. My computer has no problem playing other graphic intensive games. Any help is appreciated. I am feeling like I have wasted my money on this expensive game. I seem to remember fixing this problem forcing the game to run on 1 core in IL2. I have not tried this yet. This has to be a easier fix. Here are my computer specs: AMD FX 8350 8-core 4.0 GHz (4.3 O.Ced) 16 GB ram NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ Windows 7 OS
No601_Prangster Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) You need a minimum of 3 cores to run the game so your processor looks OK. Your graphics card is below the minimum spec of 1024 Mb+, GeForce GTX 260+/Radeon HD5850+ so that may be a problem. One thing to try is in the Nvidia control panel set max prerendered frames to 1, that may reduce input lag if it is a graphics problem, also speeds the mouse up in the menus. (Thanks to SYN_Blackrat for posting this idea originally) Edited December 21, 2014 by No601_Prangster
