Which one is it? I know one of late MS simulators was an entry-level, simplified and "gamey" one. Is it this one, or is this a proper sim. ?

What You are reffering too is MS Flight which was garbage.

This is the Flight Simulator X. Yes, a "real" simulator. A little dated but rock solid. I always liked it.

Us eto fly it often as well as the MSFs 2009 back in my pre warbird days, not seriously though. I find the lack of proper flight models and the very dated graphic engine very disturbing (still cant run it on max settings...) and have never touched it since than.

 

If you are Boeing or Airbus fan it might be a great deal. You have to be very tolerant though to overlook it's age and issues/lack of detail in certain areas.

FSX offers You a great variation of opportunitys. Of course You can have those Airbuses and Boeings.

But for me it´s perfect to hop into a glider or an Extra 300 an do a quick ride above my hometown.
