Most of the old lads knows about this mod, but i would like to bring it up again

for those whom doesn't know about it.

All have noticed that our SAITEK Pedals has that annoying center lock feature

that makes final adjustments almost impossible or stupidly hard to achieve.

With this simple mod you will get rid of that annoying center lock, and you will

improve your flying greatly.(it takes you more time removing the whole 24

screws from the back plate than actually all the inside job)

and here's a video of the process

do it mate, just take care when you are unlocking and locking back the spring,

to not damage anything, then it's a 5 minutes job

Yep helps a bit. Did this on my 2 and 1/2 yera old Pedals (which had damage already) and it improved movement accurancy around the 0% area BUT you got some 1-3% play after removing it.

I fixed that issue by fixing the interiour with rubber bands (I highly recommand this mod) which didn't only improve the feeling of center but provides it more natural counter force when pushing pedals increasingly harder.

Only things you have to consider is to not mess with the wiring (check before closing everything), getting rid of all the grease before it messes up your tools and dont lose any screws.

Getting the centering spring back in place is the most difficult task uin this mod. I really struggled with it and finally got it after 6 min of frustrating attempts. Infact the whole mod took me 12 min.

I did this also and it turned out ok. But getting that spring back is amazingly hard.

I also opened up the X52 Pro stick. Did some cleaning and this magnet mod

I was getting pretty erratic movement but it's very accurate now.

And didn't break anything

Did it some years ago: fast and easy (look at the vids though). I don't regret it!

Hm, never hered of that mod. The Magnet Mod I knwo of includes takign the already included magnets apart and seperating them (1 per side). I haven't attempt that since it's highly possible to offset the (electronical) centering point that way.

Might give this mod a try, can't hurt.

I remember when I fixed my pedals like this some time ago.

Did the same mistake that the guy did off camera, accidentally misplaced those cogs so it moved the center position.

I was so pissed at the amount of screw they used on that back plate, was a pain opening, closing, opening and closing it again.. never again.
