Mysticpuma Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 So here's the problem. I have a Thrustmaster Cougar which has two-stage trigger. Pull the trigger slightly you het the first click, pull it harder you get the second click. Now in CloD and IL2:1946 I go into the controls and set MG as the first click and fire all guns as second click. This works fine, so pulling trigger slightly registers for the first button and pulling the trigger all the way in registers as the second button. So I tried doing this in BoS and it doesn't work. The first click is seen as Joy button 0, then when I try and set up 'fire all guns' it registers as Jo Button 0. Effectively it doesn't register the second stage of the trigger. Is this a known issue, am I missing something or does BoS only allow a single button trigger to be configured? If so, what buttons do other players use for their MG/cannon and fire all guns? I prefer the dual.button trigger as this leaves other buttons free for rockets and bombs. Thoughts, suggestions? Cheers, MP
AwesomeSprawvy Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Hi Mystic, I ran into the same issue on my X-52. To get around it, try the following: Before going to the screen that records your button press, pull the trigger in far enough to hear the first click. Then enter the screen to record the button press for "fire all guns" and pull in the trigger all the way for the second click. That's what worked for me. Good luck!
Bearcat Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Can't you just assign the command to a keypress and then using the profiling SW assign that key to each trigger? I just use one button for cannon and a button for MGs..
1./ZG1_ElHadji Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 (edited) I'm having the same problems with my TM HOTAS Warthog. Second stage isn't recognized. I found out that pressing down first stage before clicking the menu button for new assignment did the trick just as Sprawvy and Extreme_One points out above. To be honest I find mapping to be a bit of a chore in IL-2 BoS. Surely we shouldn't have to come up with tricks like this to assign features? I mean it works well without it in other sims. Mysticpuma Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Okay, thanks for working it out, I'll play around with it tomorrow, cheers, MP
Sokol1 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Or look what button is the second stage trigger - e.g Joy button 1 - and edit the file "current.actions": all_guns_fire, joy0_b1, 0| // Fire all guns machineguns_fire, joy0_b0, 0| // Fire only machine guns cannons_fire, , 0| // Fire only cannons
