6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 The Stabilizers on the 109 are Unnerving in that where every other airplane stops trimming when you stop pushing the button, the 109 basically goes from end to end, making accurate trimming impossible, and Dive recovery risky when your stabilizer jumps to +3 degrees and you can't stop it. Is it a Flywheel or a bug?
Dakpilot Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Sounds like some sort of mapping conflict, does not work like that on my end, 109 adjustable in the same way all aircraft Cheers Dakpilot
JG4_Nemesis Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I experience a bug that when I set Bf109F-4 trim to "nose heavy", the aircraft instantly pulls up violently, and only after some second reacts to the nose heavy trim - where does this weird "pull" come from when I trim nose heavy? Should change for that attitude instantly, not opposite.
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 What happens is the plane appears trimmed for cruise speed by default - let's say 75% nose down. As soon as you touch the trim it goes back to neutral (0%) rather than adjusting from the cruise setting resulting in the violent pull up. This needs fixing.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I agree with Dak, I have not had any of the issues listed above. Probably mapping conflicts of some sort.
FuriousMeow Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 There is the trim in flight issue, but that is only when starting in air. Just hit one notch of trim for the 109 or 190 and it'll jump to the proper position. Most likely to be fixed next patch. That issue is not present when starting from the runway or taxiway, only in air start. Solution: Start from taxiway/runway or hit one tick of up trim and one tick of down trim right away when starting in flight and wait for next patch.
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I like the fact the plane is pre trimmed for cruise. Just dislike it resetting to zero on first use rather than adjusting from the cruise setting. Seems like a simple fix, let's hope it's in a patch soon.

Nope, it works as Tripwire has described, and it's the same when starting from the ground too.
