Willy__ Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 LMAO People being people, instead to see if they are doing something wrong, they run to the forums to create a topic saying that something is broken and need a fix.
MarcAnton Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 Ahh that explains the overall poor ground handling - thanks fellows

One of the whole points of these forums is to answer questions like the OP had as he did try to figure out but it looked wrong. Not everybody knows that you lock the tail wheel of the 190 by pulling back on the stick and while the answer could have been found with some digging asking the question is just as fine. 4
Y-29.Silky Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/12952-fw-190-3 Each aircraft has it's own section in the forums as well..Perfect for these little questions.
von_Greiff Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 What scares me off a bit, is that ppl. are always sooo selfcontious....tailwheel broken! known bug!? Before I come up with s/thg. I check myself and all the other possibilities......aaaand do some research...it's a bit like complaining about the broken PC before you check if it's plugged in.... yours v.Greiff

But then watch what you write as the title... It is one thing to ask a question. It is another thing to claim something is broken.
=AVG=Zombie Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I feel ya Marc, you would figure these guys that know EVERYTHING would hold back from giving you grief..... they love to pounce on posts around here....
Yakdriver Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Well no - if someone says something is broken, he himself puts himself in the position of "i know it's broken".when he is then informed hat no, all he needs to do is this and that and such and such... he looks like an idiot for assuming he "knows". [not he IS an idiot, but he momentarily looks like one] and that's what i am trying to do... avoid him looking like an idiot by assuming knowledge and being proven wrong. its not necessary, because IMO he isnt one. But perception matters round here... ;-) Not giving grief, not intentionally anyway.

It is good to have a place where they can go and find the information... Being unaware is fixable... 1
Brano Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 It is all about name of the thread. It sits on front page and with words like "broken" it automaticly attracts lots of attention. So just an advice for newcomers. Please, try to think before typing the name of new post. There are people who will help you but also people who will consider it offending, more over if the statement is not true. 1
Sokol1 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 One good part of "combat flight simulation/game" is know how some plane is, how operate them properly. But people - being people avid in be the "master of virtual sky" - only want know what buttons fire MG and cannons (preferable both types at same time) and see these WWII planes like those today RC electric flight models, just bother in open the throttle full and go... and trim all axis. Other example, the lot of "game is broken/bugged, my 'FunkenSome' Rudder Pedal toe brakes don't work on Spitfire, Hurricane, Sturmovik, Yak, LaGG, Mig-21, Ka 50"... 1
Leaf Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 To be fair, pulling the stick back to lock the tailwheel is not the most intuitive of control inputs. Speaking of the 190, I'm glad it's getting an FM and DM fix soon!
StG2_Manfred Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Speaking of the 190, I'm glad it's getting an FM and DM fix soon! Where this has been said?
Leaf Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) The other 190 thread Where this has been said? Posted Today, 13:42 A couple of fixes for Fw 190 are coming up next week. One for FM, one for DM. Edited December 16, 2014 by 19te.Leaf
voncrapenhauser Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Being used to landing with the stick fully back anyhow I never realised its how you lock the 190 tail wheel.... just assumed it was locked.....Thanks all for the Info.
