6./ZG26_5tuka Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 As long as the public doesn't know about the Milemium Falcon smuggleing Lufthansa personnels from Frankfurt to the Deathstar everything is allright. Ooops...
Finkeren Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 What I want to know is: Since the TIE fighter is powered by SIE-TIE twin ion engines and not by any kind of internal combustion engine, what exactly is burning?

SOLIDKREATE Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 What I want to know is: Since the TIE fighter is powered by SIE-TIE twin ion engines and not by any kind of internal combustion engine, what exactly is burning? Power cells (batteries). Magnesium also burns.
Finkeren Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Power cells (batteries). Magnesium also burns. Yeah, except magnesium burning looks nothing like this This is definately some form of hydrocarbon combustion. Also, the regular TIE is powered primarily by solar panels and has quite short range on batteries alone, so I really doubt there would be much fuel for a fire in those power cells I say there's something very wrong with the DM here.

SvAF/F16_Goblin Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) No No, the intense heat from the friction caused the petroleum products in the asphalt to burn Edited December 16, 2014 by 332_Goblin
Cybermat47 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) Guys, stop arguing, and just be thankful it wasn't a TIE Bomber. When those things go down, you can see the explosion light-years away. And if it had been a Sontaran scout ship, well, you can bet all the scientists nearby would go missing, and that's always annoying. Edited December 16, 2014 by Cybermat47
=LD=Hethwill Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Imagine the road getting blocked... ... you call your boss... ... "Sorry i'm going to be late.... you see...tie fighters...no no ... this is for real..."
Cybermat47 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 ^^^ The British had better equipment than crummy old X-Wings... 1

J2_Trupobaw Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 how about spanish shame or verguenza ajena for people with sahdenfreude Not from me, if their own Schadenfreude is not enough for them, they can have Schadenfreude mit Eichenlaub, Schwerten und Brillanten...
