Sleeplessmind Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I was wondering if there was a way to speed up the zoom speed. I have rebound the scroll wheel head zoom to a rocker button on my HOTAS system. But the zoom speed is much slower than the scroll wheel. My scroll wheel can zoom my screen in pretty much instantly. But on my HOTAS it takes about 2 seconds to zoom in. I really don't want it on my mouse because it is hard to go from the HOTAS to the mouse while in the middle of combat.

mort Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Ahh no breaks No point in steering now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWORVTX9mnU#t=146
SharpeXB Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Ahh no breaksI have HOTAS buttons assigned to the brakes. It might seem odd but you only taxi for a brief moment and only WWII era planes really need the differential brakes. I do a lot of DCS A-10C and that takes every HOTAS axis and button. So the one foot is all that's left. Works great with RoF too, no brakes there. It's a fair trade, the ability to zoom view quickly and hands free is more useful than right and left brake pedals. I do use the toe brakes in X-Plane since it's not a combat sim I don't care about fast zoom view. 1
