indiaciki Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 importing a model into planemaker and make them fly?
johncage Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 no chance at all. modern developers take their licensed assets very seriously. maybe a decade ago, it would have been more relaxed, but today, with a lot of artists cross developing, texture artists, modelers, programmers, etc and the legal issues surrounding everything, won't ever happen. the reason you may see lots of 3d models from recent games floating around on the internet is because they rip it out with tools like dx ripper or ninja ripper, developed by modelling and programming enthusiasts who like to study the way models are made or simply value them for their aesthetics.
indiaciki Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 (edited) Thought so... It's a pity- Porting and selling would be a great option though I doubt it will happen. There was a ROF DR1 for FSX. Don't know what happened to that. Couldn't find it but it was out there ofiicially. Edited December 8, 2014 by indiaciki
johncage Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) that model was given away to fsx as part of marketing and promotion Porting and selling would be a great option who gets the money? Edited December 9, 2014 by johncage
