Do you feel the same: Dizziness and "Drunken man vision & feeling" while whatcing the cockpit from inside? Same as ROF...Seriously.

Guys,

I did not bought ROF, because of that: Dizziness and "Drunken man vision & feeling" while I look outside cockpit.  I see this again in BoS! Everything looks like in one tunnel...Do you feel the same?

I see perspective to be curved and distorted too much while looking from the cockpit to outside. In the old Il-2 this feeling did not exist for me... :( Do you feel the same?

Regards!

I think he's referring to the fish eye effect when using a 90 deg. FOV. This was seen in the last video update. Doesn't happen at narrower FOVs, at the price of less "peripheral vision" while flying.

The distorted effect happens only when using very wide FoV. It happens even in Il-2 (the good old Il-2) if you use some FoV changing mods.

You can get used to it, or just handle the FoV to your taste. I prefer to be allowed to damage myself if I want to, so I'm fine with it :).

Hi, yes, you'll get that if your field of view (zoom level) is large.  Zoom in some and all is well.  I usually only zoom out when I need to see the wider world around me.

Thanks guys! I understand it! It seems that this is caused by too much Zoom out of FOV! Yes: "Fish eye effect!", that's it. Phewww... everything is alright now, it seems this is adjustable in-game.

Sometimes, dizziness/disorientation can be made worse by a lack of ambient lighting. If you are playing in a darkened room with the only light coming from the monitor, try adding a little background lighting - it may make a difference.

I would pay money to see BG's reaction to the OR for the first time. Lol

A too narrow FOV can also cause dizziness and motion sickness btw.

I never had that in RoF (or any flightsim), but some FPS with narrow FOV gave me some trouble in the past (most recently Dead Island, which almost made me puke after 30 minutes of playing, and not because of the zombie setting  ).

I had exactly the same problem. I found that drinking a pint of pure spirit prior to playing fixed it for me, but the hangovers were terrible.

Well all I can say is I bought ROF over a year ago and I just wish I were more of a WWI sim person. It was a real bargan.  :)

I am fine and dangerous for the enemy pilot, medicaly fit to be sent to the first line of the front. My concerns are just about the vision settings... :D

Cheers!
