If you have Steam version you should try and validate your game files, if you have not-steam version maybe try and update game through the launcher.

Launch your updater and see if that fixes it.  I just updated my own game after getting this error.

Well I am d/lng the update right now.  If after an update my game does not launch, with the error, I then just reboot.  After rebooting I have never had a problem with the game launching.

Well after d/ling the update and having it installed, it would not launch, the error.  Rebooted and I still get the same error message.  Hope it gets fixed soon, seems as though those who down loaded yesterday are not having this problem.

After being away for a few hours, with computer shut down, all is now well.

Game is not launching for me

How do you launch your updater.  When there is an update the game does is automatically

If you have steam it will have updated itself

If its not the steam version and you run game from IL2.exe
YOU MUST Run the launcher to update the game.
Or you get the checksum msg

Running launcher gives me the same issue so I cannot update
