There are many many aspects we all do like combined BUT this is about the MOST important one for each one of us.

I like dense populated missions with a purpose built mission. Either stop enemy bombers or bomb the heck out of the objectives. I want best possible solutions to prevent point counting vulches or other sort taking advantage that people play by the objectives. 

And as for now this is the huge problem in MP. Some try to go for the objectives and some give a shit and take advantage by those who do. Same as it ever was, and one of the reasons I personally only fly a couple of missions a week in this game

I like fighting at altitude against allied bombers but won't mind if my primary targets are lower level/tactically oriented. I usually fly with a dedicated wingman. Tactical missions, however, will need significant ground objects with enough "point" value to encourage a lot of guys to fly the ground attack role. As long as aircraft points are significantly higher (and more glamourus) than the ground objects, mission oriented servers are going to remain for hardcore guys who already fly cooperatively.

Easy one, combines warfare is the way to go for. Why? Because it includes all importatnt points mentioned above, means offering a reasonable ammount of ground targets for bombers and attack planes and having proper victory conditions so fighter pilots care moer for their escorting role rather than pure dogfighting.

 

A server with all plane classes (fighter, fighter bomber, bomber, attack plane, dive bomber, transport plane) combined with high level of interaction in a large scaled battle scenario is what every mission designer aiming for tactical missions should aim to acchieve.

While more ground objects are preferable they are not the only solution. Developers need to increase the points value for ground objects to make them more attractive to the average gamer. I played Battlefield 3 til it was long in the tooth. That game was about team points and working cooperatively for the most part. If aircraft points remain higher and shiny'er than ground targets you will have a hard time attracting the gamer crowd to do anything other than dogfight. A possible solution is a (significant) bonus value being given to the winning TEAM or penalty for the losing team. I'm more for the pleasure reward model. I think a winning team bonus would be pretty easy to code.

 

 

Also, you should add a Lone Wolf/fFind a Wingman within the Server category - for the poll. If people are honest that should have quite a few votes.

Personally the "1 life" setup is the start of everything.

 

In 1 Life setups one will play on the edge, keeping close to friends, keeping them alive and in return being kept alive.

 

This opens the door for teamwork.

 

After that everything is possible.

Don't trying to discuss opinions but 1 life is a bad way in my opinion. The advantage of respawn is you can create the imersion if a big battle with continues reinforcements with a low player number.

 

Respawns should be kept the way they are in my opinion. There are better ways to encourage teamplay than the Democles Sword.

Co-Ops are vital to MP in my opinion. There's a lot of people who aren't doing MP because they don't really like dogfight servers and would like to be involved in proper missions which have a start and end to them. Respawn just encourages people jumping in a plane and dashing to the first bit of action they can find.

 

As it stands we can do coops (in DF mode) but it's not easy to find opponents on the fly and these missions have to be arranged days in advance. I hope the devs would consider implimenting a player list and chat or pager system (like Hyperlobby) in the server select screen so we can talk to people who are online but not in a server yet.

voted for "Combined operation" and "with a couple of buddies" but this actually means :

 

-Standard Coop missions with regular starting to allow people join "during" mission and still get involved in completing the objectives (maybe evolutive starting point location depending on the mission supposed advancement... alltough I don't really know the complexity level of implementig such a feature..)

 

-I ususally fly alone in MP as I don't know much people there and don't have the involvment level required to join a squadron, Nevertheless, as I am not good in dogfighting (so even worse in an airquake situation), I do like to fly in a more cooperative and mission objectives focus mode with other allied planes.... but that doesn't happen very often, specially on normal servers wich I do like for the planes and ground unit markers (Yes I am also a very bad spotter...)

Since the topic is solely about MP I'm confused as to why you even clicked on the topic, let alone post that you have no interest in it.

So why the Q in part 2? Clearly that was for me, and the silent majority of players that enjoys the sim outside the MP.
