6./ZG26_McKvack Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I'm experiencing allot of crashes after this update. Is this only for me or anyone else can relate?
JimTM Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Great! Now my dog is going to bark at my PC! ;-) If it's a problem, just press paws. 3
SYN_Blackrat Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 If it's a problem, just press paws. Groan......
Bussard_x Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I see that snow skin is regularly short time disappearing. Do others see this too?
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 You don't think that making a skin viewer takes slightly more work than adding some nice atmospherics? There's no pleasing some people; thanks for the patch -- looking good! No, I don't think porting a skin viewer is as hard as it had been made out to be. You know what would really improve the atmosphere? Hearing hit sounds on my plane. You're serious?
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Sounds propagation is not instant already. You can check it - drop a powerful bomb while flying at 500m or more from a ground object like a friendly AA gun, then quickly switch to this object. You should hear the explosion a couple of seconds later than seeing it. Agreed. Both propagation and Doppler are modeled.
Ala13_Kike Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 This update change again the texture and startup cfg files, and some options inside the game (like graphics option, or "cinematic on" again). Freetrack users need to change again the "startup" file again and put 1 in trackir option, take in account
SOLIDKREATE Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I can let you guys use my Chihuahua . He barks non stop at ANYTHING. You'll hours of audio from him.
Lensman Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Kinda brings a whole new meaning to 'low level dogfight'! Thanks devs.
Trooper117 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 So, the last two pages have all been saying how great it is to have dog sounds in game.................. Hello? 1
II./JG77_Manu* Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 So, the last two pages have all been saying how great it is to have dog sounds in game.................. Hello? it is. I very much appreciate how the Devs care attention to such small things which add to a more lively world 4
DrDag Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Thanks for the continued work Devs. Please keep it up .
tovarisch Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Thanks devs for taking care of the game...you do a great job.
J2_Trupobaw Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 So, the last two pages have all been saying how great it is to have dog sounds in game.................. Hello? Anything to repress the feeling of having a Polish localisation now... .
No601_Prangster Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Trooper117 your just barking up the wrong tree. This game is the dogs bollocks!
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) it is. I very much appreciate how the Devs care attention to such small things which add to a more lively worldAre you serious? Dog sounds? Seriously... I can't fathom how some of you process the concept of "progress" and "attention to detail." The ground war in Stalingrad is virtually non-existent and you are commending the inclusion of dog sounds? *face palm* Edited December 3, 2014 by FalkeEins 4
SYN_Mike77 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Good Lord, it's just a fun and funny little addition that probably took one guy about an hour and a half to chuck it in there.
Lensman Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 As Jason stated, the developer who adds the sounds wasn't tasked with doing anything other than adding sounds so we're not missing out on any much desired features because of a new canine addition that adds a bit of atmosphere.

I can't fathom how some of you process the concept of "progress" and "attention to detail." The ground war in Stalingrad is virtually non-existent and you are commending the inclusion of dog sounds? *face palm* face palm it is, to assume that in the whole winter 42/43 in Stalingrad and every village and town around there were battles going on 24/7. Just finished an autobiography by two german pilots who got shot down over Dubovka, and walked home from there to the friendly lines. While walking home a blizzard came up, but they luckily found a house in the small village they have just been, where smoke came out of the roof. They went into, seeing an old man, half blind, with his (no kidding) dog!!!One of the germans could speak a few lumps of russian, and told the russian they want him no harm. He cooked a meal for them, and they stayed over night, before walking home. They didn't see a single enemy soldier, tank, or any other war machine (beside a few planes) while walking to their own lines (30-40 miles). Only thing beside the planes which indicated that there was a war going on was artillery fire...you seem to have not a big clue about whats going on in a war. It's not a hollywood movie. JimTM Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) I imagine the developers decided to have a bit of fun and throw something whimsical and easy in. Nice. I'm looking forward to seeing all the new fixes and features. Edited December 3, 2014 by JimTM

Who is assuming anything other than you, Celestiale? Please allow me to reiterate for you since you can't seem to immediately grasp the concept of what I said and instead went of on some entirely unrelated tangent. Are you serious? Dog sounds? Seriously... I can't fathom how some of you process the concept of "progress" and "attention to detail." The ground war in Stalingrad is virtually non-existent and you are commending the inclusion of dog sounds? *face palm* Is Stalingrad a country? No... But Russia is... Unfortunately for the point you were trying to make, nobody was talking about the entirety of Russia... So where does some unrelated story about Dubovka come in to play? Well... It doesn't... Because nobody was talking about the non-existent ground war in Dubovka... There are things of immediate importance to the historical integrity of this simulator that are entirely non-existent, things of intermediate importance to gameplay that function entirely incorrectly and you're going to sit here and tell me things are great like all of the others of you. Blind consumerism is your problem, not mine. Silly you... I have no disillusion about "what's going on in a war" (which, for a quip, I would add that you seem to be the one who is disillusioned...) Hollywood seems like a place that would call disembodied dogs barking 13,000FT below you "great attention to detail." Edited December 3, 2014 by FalkeEins
SYN_Haashashin Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Guys, this is a version discussion, not about dogs in wartime in Russia or Stalingrad. If you wish to continue such a discussion do it privately. And Falke, I'm sure you wont be able to hear the dog sound at 13,000 fts, same as you can't hear the birds in RoF, you can't hear them with engine and so on so...Great attention to detail I say. 1
vonPilsner Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Devs, Thanks for the update/patch. Is much appreciated. :D

It would make it unplayable. Get a grip on what you say. No sim to date and privately owned pc can handle what you ask. Nothing. You should really make an effort to understand before handing out demands. And , thanks for the update Edited December 3, 2014 by LuseKofte
SYN_Haashashin Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 As I said, you two should leave it for PM. 1
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) As I said, you two should leave it for PM. Got the message - no discussing features implemented in 1.007 in the Game version 1.007 discussion thread. Edited December 3, 2014 by SYN_Haashashin
SYN_Haashashin Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 You can discuss all you want, in a polite manner. Just say your piece and respects others opinions, thats all. As I have been telling you via PM.
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 You can discuss all you want, in a polite manner. Just say your piece and respects others opinions, thats all. As I have been telling you via PM. Rule 6.
3instein Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Do I need to have "interface sound" switched on to hear the dog sounds or are they there all the time? Mick.
SYN_Haashashin Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Rule 6 do not apply here what so ever mate, you get it all wrong. Rule 6 never says you cant discuss features. I say discuss all you want cus I was answering to this: Got the message - no discussing features implemented in 1.007 in the Game version 1.007 discussion thread. Again, you can discuss all you want, but do not get personal with people and respect others opinions.
JtD Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Just wondering, why are all the points in the list being started with a "-"? Shouldn't they be using "+" if they are adding and fixing stuff?

And , thanks for the update Well, I remember a night I played DCS on a Mustang vs FW 190 Server... and guess what.. I saw Ground Units driving to targets... no shieeet and it was stable. No lags nothing... Holy cow, so there is a hardcore simulation out there which allows vehicles on the ground and on the air... at the same time.. To the Patch, well atleast we got dog sounds now... hooraaayy!
Matt Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 - Lag between pushing the button and firing decreased from 0,1 sec to 0,02 sec;- The bug with AI wingmen taking off on Fw 190s fixed (both tail wheel and engine management flaws removed); - The issue with a damaged plane getting a speed boost fixed; - Oil pressure indication added; - Shaking of a slightly damaged plane decreased; - Time of drawing plane's skin was decreased; Those are actually some nice fixes and improvements. Thanks.
