Multiplayer Stats

Are there any plans for creating multiplayer stats? I mean something similar to Vaal's stats for RoF servers? I know there was notice about multiplayer statistics in last developer's update but I don't believe we get something reasonable. I think there would be some general kind of stats like there are now for the "campaign" which is useless at best.

I think the server admins would have to implement this for their specific servers. Maybe they don't have an API yet, who knows.

I hope they can separate fighters from bombers on those stats. Maybe stats for each individual plane.

I hope we don't have them, just encourages glory hunting and totally ruins game play for some of us lesser mortals. Have your stats by all means but as soon as your pilot dies you start again.

The old spit vs 109 server had a month based stats page that I liked very much.

We have one for Rise of Flight

I reset it monthly, has a Virtual life score as well as accumulated, but with the kick that if you land back at base safely you get your stats, get shot down over friendly territory and survive you get half points, die or captured I think it is none. The point is no one should accumulate stats through recklessness, you can risk take but there are consequences for your stats.

I agree with that !!! No suicide stats whores.

Maybe rather than including any points at all, just list kills, assists, ground targets destroyed, bailouts over enemy territory, bailouts over friendly territory, and deaths?

I like the idea, but agree with the sentiments of others. Over the shoulder shooting is already bad enough.

Couldn't agree more.

I want stats only for this situation, they must reset after death. It'd be cool to see how long I can survive in a Stuka, maybe even become a Stuka ace, but I'd die eventually and my stats would reset back to null while my pilot, Herbert Von Wolfgang, would be added to the casualties list.

Leaderboards on the other hand, do not belong.

il2 commander is still one of my favorites, click on the pilot or map name for info http://wte-anga.com/il2sc_stat/index.php?navigation=

Agreed, and I like IL2 commender too.

You can only add stats when surviving. If you are dead stats are at 0. Otherwise its just easy to kill someone as you are already dying.

It would only be meaningful if it leads people to try and survive, not get kills at any cost

Meh, that IL2 Commander is exactly what I don't want to see; a leaderboard with K/D on it, a leaderboard in general. Looking at the stats, no one can die 116 times and no one can possibly calculate stuff like a 5.28% air gunnery accuracy. I think..

---------------------

Pilot: Hans Schmidt
Sorties: 22

Flight hours: 38h 22m

Aircraft: Bf-109 G-2, Fw-190, Yak-1B
Air victories: 16

Ground kills: 11
Aircraft Lost: 3
Status: Active

When you die..

Pilot: Hans Schmidt
Sorties: 22

Flight hours: 38h 22m

Aircraft: Bf-109 G-2, Fw-190, Yak-1B
Air victories: 16

Ground kills: 11
Aircraft Lost: 3
Status: Deceased (.. or MIA/POW - if one bails out maybe 10km behind enemy lines) ... Is added to a "deceased" list just to keep records.

Then you'd have to make a new one..

Pilot: Silky Johnson
Sorties: 0

Flight hours: 0

Aircraft: -
Air victories: 0

Ground kills: 0
Aircraft Lost: 0
Status: Active

... would be totally kick-ass.. It shouldn't be a "talent show" like IL2 Commander and War Thunder are.

Actually I think about something very similar. There could be something like "general stats" showing how many targets you destroyed for all your virtual lives for how many deaths, but just for information purpose. Primary stats shall be based on the current virtual life streaks with additional rule that if your game ends by any type of irregular way, your current streak will be reset.

Some kind of more sophisticated and well designed multiplayer stats is something I expect from developers in game release. But we got the stupid unlocking of mods instead...

Actually I think that the server operator should decide what stats he wants for his target community. I don't favour catering for one group's tastes only. Should be free choice.

While I think "glory statistics" end up making people game the game - I tend to agree with sturmkraehe here!

Variety is the spice of life afterall!

That's what I was talking about by the server admins. That's how it's been since the olden days of 1946. As long as there's no 'Official IL-2: Battle of Stalingrad Leaderboard', I am fine.

maybe just a kill death ratio?

i find this info very usefull to know which is the best plane

oh and only during your first kills youd get the maxium ratio of infinite :)

If you somehow managed a kill before your first death, you'd be what, undefined?

I'm not.

I want to know how I stand against the best pilots. I am competitive that's why I play online. If I played just for the joy of flying a SIM I wouldn't be in an online multiplayer match shooting at other real players. I'd do campaigns and shoot at bots. Furterhmore, as a SIM goes there are better joy of flight SIM options other than BoS. This game is a combat SIM Lite.

All other modern games have multiplayer stats. Why this game didn't ship out with it is silly. It should have been a feature upon release paired with online multiplayer unlocks. I have no wish to play the campaign but I will so I may have a competitive equalizer. So far, single player is boring. I don't want to shoot at bots.

Unless it's a filler for online play. Empty skies are no fun either.

Reading the above list of complaints is laughable. All this is happening already. Some people will shoot over your shoulder no matter what. I'm insanely competitive but I'll not just blast over your planes and kill steal. Most other SIM pilots won't either but you get jerks everywhere and having no stats isn't stopping the poor behavior one iota.

I just got tk strafed and rammed on the runway last night. Maybe a stats tracker will help us monitor that kind of crap.
