I have the old IL2 complete edition

Now that I'am retired I installed IL2 the complete editition and have put a lot of work with new skins and missions into it.The problem is I can't get off the ground with out torque roll dropping the left wing as soon as I get enough speed to lift off. Also it's very hard to stay on the runway ,would your tutoriol in the sticky help me or should I just uninstall and get 1946?I've put so much work into this version and even had  a very top end computer made that runs anything.A lot of the missions have the red bars on the switches so they can't be changed ,even the ones that can be changed to easy ,put you in the air and I like to start on the runway with a cold dark cockpit.

It's a shame to uninstall, with this new computer the graphics are amazing. Thankyou

Get 1946.

 

It is dirt cheap now and that way you can patch it to the latest version of the sim which is the best ever IMO.

 

As for staying on the runway.. it is probably a combination of torque and tailwheel. You can lock your tailwheel. Do you use rudder pedals?

Like BC just said: Get IL2:1946.

 

The purchased version is 4.07 but needs to be patched up to 4.12 to get the most out if the sim.

As far as I can remember, not sure though,  at the site SAS1946.com you can download and install all necessary official patches in one go.

Thankyou for the replys,I will uninstall the older game and buy 1946,One question ,do any of the skins and missions work in 1946 from the older game?

OH ya I forgot I have all CH controls and that includes rudder pedals.But I'am going to get 1946 and hopefully I'll be able to get off the ground.

Your old missions and skins should mostly work in 1946 as well.

 

Just make sure you backup the "PaintSchemes" and "Missions" folders from your main IL-2 directory somewhere before uninstalling.

 

Later you'll just have to copy them back into your 1946 directory.
