I am eagerly awaiting this film after reading the incredible book detailing this true story. From early showings it seems Angelina Jolie has done it justice.

This is on my must watch list.

My wife is eagerly reading the book right now, one of the few times she has read a nonfiction book about a war. I thought this also might be the first time she goes to a war movie with me, but she told me last night that she is afraid to watch some of what happened to Zamperini and others.

Great story but Hollywood will probably soap it up so much you'll be diabetic by the time you get out of the theater

I'm always interested in things to do with the air war around Rabaul. Will have to see about catching the film. Not sure about the casting of the Japanese heart throb as the lead protagonist though. Camp guards were usually the lowest of the low. Usually those deemed too useless even to die for the emperor.

I read the book a couple of years ago. It was like a list of the worst things that could happen in a nightmare. I hope the film does it justice.
