Wulf Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 There are very few servers active in my time zone thing - which is a real bummer. What is worse, a majority of those people who are active in this part of the world appear to have a preference for German machines. No problem there except that servers often become unbalanced and or, because people can't fly what they want, they go elsewhere - wherever that is. So, what if people were allows to fly whatever type of aircraft they likes on the Normal (icon assisted) servers. Wouldn't that provide a more accessible entry point for players? Just asking, or do these servers already exist, but just not near me? 1
[KWN]T-oddball Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 you will have to wait for the DServer once that arrived the community will start sorting itself out
No601_Swallow Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Hopefully, very soon squadron boffins the world over will be able to sling up a server of whatever complexion they want! Again, hopefully there'll be a wide variety of configurations for Dogfightistes to choose from.
Yakdriver Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Its really a time zone problem... the BOS-US are too far east of you but they offer exactly what you are looking for.Normal mode, free for all.
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 (edited) -snip- What is worse, a majority of those people who are active in this part of the world appear to have a preference for German machines (A). No problem there except that servers often become unbalanced (B) and or, because people can't fly what they want (A), they go elsewhere - wherever that is. -snip- (A) - Interesting... You preface this by complaining that other players are flying what they want to fly and end it by complaining that people aren't able to fly what they want to fly. Fact of the matter? I will fly what I want to fly because I want to - if I have no interest in flying a LaGG, why should I? (B) - Good, because a flight simulator doesn't need artificial balancing - forced by the player or forced by the simulator itself. If I wanted "balanced" gameplay, I would head on over to WT... You'll find an interesting take on "balancing" a combat flight game over there. I never read a single excerpt about Barkhorn, Hartmann, Rall, Galland or any of the Luftwaffe Experten complaining that in 1945 the "balance of the war" was against them, therefor the United States needs to send less bombers to Berlin to balance the odds - you suit up, you fly... or you don't... I can guarantee you that it doesn't matter to me. Please, please, please don't feed the developer the idea that their game needs to be balanced more than it already has been.
