KoN_ Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Hi gents as title says what are your setting , as i fly german mainly , i find the 109 nose is all over the place . and wonder if its my sticks , or my flying
BillyBark Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I've come back to it after a while and I'm finding the same thing. No idea why but it seems really sloppy now, not like it used to before release.
GP* Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 109s have always lacked stability in this game. Whether or not this is historically accurate has been debated many times in other threads. It's not just you, but you will refine your control over time . I too fly with the Warthog, and while this stick has given me the greatest control over all others I've tried, I find that a 10-16% curve (set in the settings/controls menu) helps to calm things down a bit. I also have rudder set around 34%. Hope this helps!
KoN_ Posted December 6, 2014 Author Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) Is it the game settings that are too sensitive to our sticks , i was online tonight and flew the 109g2 and man, i was all over the place couldn't hit a barn door , the nose was up and down like a rubber band . i gave up , i flew the yak , which i hate too say was stable . just three angry 109s on my tail . going to change my curves settings , i had them all at . 0. was that 10-16% sensitive and the rest 0. GP* Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Hi Con, The VVS birds are certainly more stable. I think 1) practice and 2) keeping up with trim, even in a fight, is what enabled me to be as accurate with a 109 as a Yak. Here are my settings: Pitch: 14% Roll: 0% Yaw: 34% However, I started with around 30% pitch and 50% yaw when I first went back to the 109 just to ease the transition. Try that, and then move the sliders back over time. I hope this helps!
KoN_ Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 I still find the flight model wired . Half the time you dont even know whats going on .
KoN_ Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 sorted ..warthogs sensativity - 10 dead zone - 0 dead edge - 40
15[Span.]/JG51Costa Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 sorted ..warthogs sensativity - 10 dead zone - 0 dead edge - 40 Tx Sir. For all the axes?
KoN_ Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 Please try , i am finding these setting good for me its slow at first but once you get used to it , seems to do what i want , i think i had the dead edge zone at 0" which made my aircraft do weired things , if i pushed hard to dive away , my plane would go upside down and spin black out red out ..was a nightmare i felt i couldnt control my kite . Now when i push hard into a dive , it stays in a dive and now i can extend away from danger . happy hunting ...!!! i keep these settings for all models .
PA-Sniv Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Don't forget to trim your 109 otherwise you'll have to counter the pitch attitude given by your horizontal stabilizer. Cheers,
