taffy2jeffmorgan Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Hi All. I have downloaded and installed Veteran 66 missions, question is- mission one just shows a birds eye view of an airfield full of activity and that's all ? is this normal ? because mission two I,m in the cockpit ? I,v followed the instructions and joined offline, and watched the opening scene in mission one for 10 minutes ? could it be a corrupt file ? and a re-download is needed ? I hope that Veteran 66 excellent work is a sign of things to come. Cheers.
vonPilsner Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Not sure (they work for me so far), maybe try F1 to get back in the cockpit if needed.
FuriousMeow Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) Having the same problem. First mission, just can't get into cockpit. I can shoot the cannon, start the engine, watch my plane run across the snow and any number of bad endings, but never get into the cockpit. Tried the cockpit commands, no go. Tried settings to Expert instead of Custom, no go. I just sit on a remote camera over the field. Watch the He111s fly over head, a car drive around the field a few times, but nada. The other missions I can launch and be in the cockpit but the first one just sits on a remote camera. I tried two different paths, here is my current: [driveletter]:\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\Missions\VeteranMissions\Chir_Front The previous path was dropped directly into the VeteranMIssions folder instead of having the additional Chir_Front folder, but didn't work either for the first mission. The other missions seem fine, just the first one is a remote camera looking over the field . Edited November 30, 2014 by FuriousMeow

pilotpierre Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) I had the same problem when I manually placed the files. I deleted them and unzipped the download to the root BoS file as per the read me (that is easily misunderstood the way it is written) and all is well. Edited November 30, 2014 by pilotpierre
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 Thanks Pierre. How would you define root file, because I followed the path C: program files 86X/IC studios/BoS/data/missions. and dropped them there ?
