Heywooood Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 jeez JtD - for such an over qualified naysayer critic of BoS, that gold bar sure looks shiney.... I'm mildly shocked to see it there quite frankly...pleased mind you..but shocked
stiboo Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Hello fellow founders....the Elite Beta testers... I was watching the game trailer again the other night... we need to share the trailer link http://youtu.be/c4014tNwcao and game info with as many people as possible to keep the orders coming in 1600 people world wide doesn't seem a lot...but a good start Hope there will be an updated Video on release.. JtD Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 jeez JtD - for such an over qualified naysayer critic of BoS, that gold bar sure looks shiney.... I'm mildly shocked to see it there quite frankly...pleased mind you..but shocked Sorry for that, hope you've fully recovered by now. I don't think I've ever made a secret out of the fact that I support the game and am looking forward to it, a lot. I don't think everything's pure gold, but my few critical/unhappy comments usually get totally blown out of proportion by some folks.
=BKHZ=Furbs Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Its a old as time rule for flight simmers... you cant moan about a sim unless you own it. I brought CLOD at release.
Felix58 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Hmm, mumbles something so can see gold bar!
leitmotiv Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 in members search options there are two options of Founders, so you can exactly see number of standard and number of premium user that registered key, for now its around 1760 premium + 190 standard
DB605 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Got refund from standard pre-order and pre-ordered premium right away 1
79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) Test ... again. Woy-woy, it works! Edited September 16, 2013 by 79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer
pilotpierre Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Got refund from standard pre-order and pre-ordered premium right away Hi DB605, my wife and I are currently in Helsinki and love it. We travel quite a lot (from Australia) and we think Helsinki is the cleanest and the most graffiti free we have seen, its on a par with Singapore. The public transport is clean, regular and on time and the museums are a credit to your country. The people are friendly, all speak English and the girls have the nicest bums in Scandinavia. Apart from bottoms, the rest of them (the girls) is pretty good too.
=69.GIAP=RADKO Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) 1760 premium members brings in about 1.5 million USD for 777 Studios so it ain't bad at all considering it's only access for alpha. Oh and the planes too. Edited September 16, 2013 by =69.GIAP=RADKO

Oh and the planes too. 1760 x $89.99 = 158,382.40 http://www.online-calculator.com/nl/simple-full-screen-calculator/
DD_Reggie Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Well lets hope that the numbers keep going up and those of us that pre-ordered get to play with the alpha/beta soon :0)
Matt Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 1760 x $89.99 = 158,382.40 Again, not everyone ordered premium. It could easily be 30.000 USD less than that. Which is still OK i guess, especially because probably not everyone activated his key yet.
JGzbV_Manni Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 right now: ca. 200 standard ca. 1780 premium

There's special "Messerschmitts in finland 70 years" exhibiotion at the moment: http://www.ilmailumuseo.fi/ Edited September 16, 2013 by DB605
LLv34_Flanker Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 S! That Messerschmitt exhibition is a must Good to see sales taking off, been advertising to everyone I know liking flight sims

There's special "Messerschmitts in finland 70 years" exhibiotion at the moment: http://www.ilmailumuseo.fi/ No didn't even know about it. I visited the military museum here in Helsinki and the one on Suomenlinna and unfortunately I am off home tomorrow. We may be back next year so I will check it out then. How far from Helsinki is it?
LLv34_Flanker Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 S! Pilotpierre, it is next to the airport so not far

Bugger, just googled it in English and found out it was right next to the airport. I will attempt to go early tomorrow and see if I can fit it in before my flight, doubtful though. Been here for 3 days, had I known I would have spent a day there.
=BKHZ=Furbs Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I expect quite a few more as soon as the beta start date is announced and gets close.
mazex Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) ,,must mean that that is the number of prebuyers? Hmm, as there are about 1100 people that have backed the Ilya Kickstarter project I guess we are zeroing in how many we are in "the community" of dedicated grognards around WWII flight sims then? About 2000 is a safe bet? So Ilya can expect maybe 800-900 more backers then if he sorts out his pledge rewards and stretch goals... Edited September 16, 2013 by mazex 1
=BKHZ=Furbs Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 If there is only 2000 flight simmers out there then the genre is screwed, IMOH there is many many more simmers out there who dont visit forums much or play MP. This is where very good PR and advertising comes in, developers need to reach out to every sort of media, magazines and websites to attract more customers, though all this costs money, its a fine line.
leitmotiv Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 they would get few more MP guys in pre-order if they selected better approach for unlocks i'm sure

Naturally (or hopefully ) there are a lot more out there that will realize the game exists when it gets released. But I am talking about the chosen few. The real nerds. Us! We know our number now Edited September 16, 2013 by mazex
Rjel Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I would think any simmer who is an aviation buff probably uses Youtube to find their favorite plane videos. It's hard to imagine one wouldn't stumble across the BoS videos that are out there. They might not hang out here but I'd be stunned if they aren't out there someplace. I still think we (as a genre) would do ourselves a favor if we could convince a couple of friends or family to get onboard.
ZONEOUT Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) Hi all! I Pre-Ordered the sim on 9/11 and it dose not show up under purchases. The license key I take it is not the Order ID. I tried to use ( support@1cgs.net ) it did not work. Maybe I'm just getting to old to use a computer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Matt. I used PayPal so maybe that could be the problem? I know quite a few simmers, say out of ten of them I am the biggest poster and I don't even post that much. There's plenty in the wings watching, plenty of new blood out there who are interested in aviation or who come here looking for something realistic. I wouldn't be surprised that the pre-order numbers aren't too high because there aren't that many people who will do such a thing. I have only ever pre-ordered arma 3 before this and the former I regret a little (probably wont in 2 years time lol). That's why we've been given a few distinctions like the founders tag etc.
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 (edited) hello, I would like to know where's my TAG! Edited September 17, 2013 by Mastiff
6./ZG26_Emil Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 hello, I would like to know where's my TAG! Activate your key then
JG4_Sputnik Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 "We" are about 2000-3000 hardcore ww2 sim fans NOW, I suppose (active online and willing to support the genre simply because its ww2). The potential to reach is maaaybe about what, 30% more? ( just hc's like us). And then there will be the whole middleground of about 10-15k who will buy the sim on steam if its on sale or just because theyve heard of it or like the shape of a certain plane or whatnot and buying it out of an impulse (and maybe turn into one uf "us" later on thats what happened with me when i downloaded il2 demo back in 2001 just out of curiosity and because I liked those planes). The devs task now is to gather as many users arround them as possible and establish an excellent product as a base which from where they can reach the "mass" to carry the product to a nutritious future.

Have you activated your license key?, I cannot see my purchases on my profile page either so I wouldn`t worry about that, try activating your key if all`s good you should get a gold/silver bar under your avatar.
Mac_Messer Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Bullet holes/cockpit damage perhaps? I know RoF doesn't have it, but I assume BoS will. I hope so. They should build up a youtube vid and show it asap, including a streaming live session.
Elem Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I just started posting today having pre ordered the Premium edition the moment it was announced, but I notice I do not have the Founders gold tag below my avatar. Why is that?

Elem Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Emil, Jeez! I must be stupid. I have found my Pre-order confirmation email with an Order ID but I cannot find key activation in my Profile or the Devs Diary.
