in-game profile name duplicate??

hello everyone.

 

for some of you this may seem like a weird questions. but sorry, couldn't help notice.

 

today i noticed my profile name (the one you see in game - main menu) has changed from "hummatov" to "hummatovhummatov"..

it sort of duplicated itself. i don't know what caused it. i did not make any changes to my profile/squad name. I had my profile name set to hummatov and squad name also set to hummatov since day 1. and the in game profile name was showing "hummatov" from day 1. so apparently something must have triggered this change. 

 

is it because the system generated a forum user name and the game launcher is now looking at forum user name? because the "hummatovhummatov" now also seems to be my forum user name. i'm confused.

 

is this because they have recently done the profile/forum sync. thing?

 

or is this because the system is now looking at both : profile name and the squad name?

The squad name bit is for a squad tag. Leave it blank if you aren't in one.

thanks for all the responses. but these don't answer my original question. which is:  

 

why has my profile name duplicated itself while I have not done any changes?? (please read the original post for more info_)

The last update changed the way the system handles your name in game and in the forum.

 

Remove your name from the Squad name box - update and your problem will be solved.
