Isn't that Il2 BoKorea? Probably just outside Jason's current five year plan.

June 1945 is when it would have happened.

I guess I should have included a ;)

I suppose you could dive into the ME and build it yourself as the aircraft become available but I wouldn't expect such a scenario from official sources.

I want carriers; Pacific is my obvious choice but I'm fascinated with the Mediterranean early war period because it has really never been done.  Playing air operations involving Malta convoys would be unique.  Fulmars, Swordfish, Skuas, Gladiators, and Hurricanes swamped by Stukas, JU-88's, He-111's and SM-79s.  This has great scope for convoy attack and defense; there is also the possibility of interesting ferrying missions where Malta was reinforced by fighters flown in off carrier decks.  The theater in general also lends itself to close air support with an unusual planeset.

Pacific would also be fun, espiecally if they include USS Robin (aka US Carrier that never was aka HMS Victorious).

She was loaned to the USN and fought alongside USS Saratoga during 1943, she arrived at Pearl Harbour March 1943 and returned for home 31 July, serving in the pacific between then.

What about Operation Unthinkable? It would be quite cool having USAAF, RAF and RCAF vs Soviet Air Force.

Never thought about it.

Nah, Odessa is a third party map. It will be an add on/freebie like Velikie Luki. It will be of high quality as it will be semi-official. Someone mentioned it was a skill building project for the particular map maker/group. It looks very nice thus far.

I just hope we get the HS 129 in this game, it will excel in this game engine together with the IL 2 and PE 2 . But I also hope for mountain and sea, maybe North Africa, they used the HS 129 there, of course with big problems they was trouble some in Europe, adding sand was not improving its bad  reliability

But imagine having a plane with this

Henschel's plane came in 12% overweight with the engines 8% underpowered, and understandably, it flew poorly. The controls proved to be almost inoperable as speed increased, and in testing, one plane flew into the ground from a short dive because the joystick forces were too high for the pilot to pull out. The Focke-Wulf design proved to be no better. Both planes were underpowered with their air-cooled, inverted-V12 Argus As 410 engines, and very difficult to fly.

There is simply no game engine that simulate bad performance better than this one, and I am not being sarcastic or using irony, I mean it in all positive angels there is. I love flying underdogs and this would be the king of those

Only the prototype had the Argus engines. The production versions all used Gnome-Rhone engines unless I am mistaken. Roughly 50% more power per engine. It didn't solve all of the problems but improved the power to weight issues considerably.

Yes I know , but the quote from Wiki was just fantastic so I quoted it. The Gnome Rhone engines had big problems in Africa, Not the Argus ones
