SharpeXB Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 I've had a lot of trouble with the game crashing almost every time I run it. It may be because I had Nvidia DSR enabled. I tried switching all the Nvidia settings to default and was able to run a mission successfully. Anyone else have this problem?
TG-55Panthercules Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 I'm not having it routinely, but I have been wondering if maybe it has something to do with some of the crashes I have experienced. I ran several missions with DSR on yesterday after the latest patch/update, and did not have any crashes (well, my Fw190 crashed a lot, but those don't count ) - but it does seem to have been running for most of the occasional crashes I have experienced lately. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with DSR as such, or whether maybe it's just because you have to run with "full screen" checked in order to use DSR - back when things were so unstable a week or two ago I recall a dev or someone suggesting that people untick the "full screen" setting, as if maybe that was having some effect on the crashing problem. If so, the DSR thing may be what's causing you to tick the full screen setting, but it may be the latter thing that may be causing the crashing? In any event, having run 6 or 7 missions with DSR (and full screen) on yesterday without crash problems, I'm hopeful that maybe they've gotten past that being a problem.
ST_ami7b5 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Guys, if you use DSR say 2.0 and some smoothing value, what resolution you choose in game - the highest possible (which DSR enables [which is higher than monitor native]) or just monitor native?

ST_ami7b5 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 You choose the higher setting in game that DSR enables. I tried it, it works except text becomes smaller, sometimes hard to read...
SharpeXB Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 I've been running DSR at 4.0x with 2x GTX 980s in SLI. Looks nice and my frame rate averages 65 even in big battles over Stalingrad :-D But I get a lot of crashes. Will have to experiment more.
SharpeXB Posted November 29, 2014 Author Posted November 29, 2014 I was crashing nearly every time I ran BoS. Sometimes within minutes. I turned DSR off, along with Fullscreen and have not crashed once in several days.
