ESCAPE Button assignment not functional

I downloaded 1.006 and the ESC control in settings is still not functional.

Tried to assign it repeatedly on  my Seitek MFD and no luck.   Other commands assign easily to the MFD's.

Anyone have the ESC operational on a MFD, joystick or throttle control?

So you are trying to re-assign the esc key to another key or a button in a stick? What method are you using?

I've got the same problem - although the controls screen appears to allow you to assign the Esc key function to a controller button, it does not actually work/recognize the command in the game - only pressing the Esc key itself works in game.  Tried using both my Logitech joystick and my Saitek throttle quadrant - both of them are recognized and work in the game for other functions, and both of them cause the controls screen to show one of their buttons being accepted and assigned to the same function as the Esc key (see screenshot below), but pushing the relevant buttons in game does not bring up the Esc key menu - only using the Esc key itself does that.

It's never worked. Reported many months ago.

The latest download 1.006 clearly states that the problem with the ESCape assignment was corrected.

I use the Settings in-game assignment method, the same method I have used for all other assignments and they have all worked perfectly.

I will keep using the keyboard for the ESCape function!!!!!!!!!!!!
