Messerschmitt-AG Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Hi, I eagerly anticipate the wealth of information that will be provided by the impending aircraft manuals; is there an ETA for this? Nevertheless I am curious about the data input of the simulation. Is 777/1C able to share data on level speed at altitude, climb rate at altitude, engine horsepower at altitude, a range of aerodynamic calculations and turning performance* It would help me in my analysis of the performance of the aircraft, advantages and disadvantages. It may also have the added benefit of providing a shield against criticism. *e.g. SPITFIRE Mk. iTurn Performance300mph - 1,000ft 5,000ft 10,000ft 15,000ftOne 360 - 12.2s 13.5s 14.7s -Two 360s - 24.9s 28.2s 30.3s -250mphOne 360 - 10.8s 12.8s 13.4s 14.1sTwo 360s - 24.4s 28.2s 29.9s 33.2sSustainedNo Flaps - 14.8s 16.0s 17.8s 20.8sFull Flaps - 15.1s 16.4s 18.1s 21.8sBest Flap - none none none noneSpeed/best - 125mph 125mph 125mph 120mphCorner Speed and Radii (at 1,000ft)Speed: 215mphTurn Radius: 342ftMinimum Sustained Turn Speed: 125mph“ Turn Radius: 431ftCorner Times 1,000ft 5,000ft 10,000ft 15,000ft180 degrees - 5.0s 5.3s 6.0s 6.8s360 degrees - 11.3s 11.8s 13.2s 15.2s360º Roll Rate:150mph: 6.9s200mph: 5.1s250mph: 5.7s300mph: 7.1s350mph: 10.4s400mph: 14.6sIf not, why not. Anw.StG2_Tyke Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Guess you have to gather your wanted data oldschool with paper and pencil. Afaik the dev's are resisting to publish any data they have. Sometimes they leak a little bit but nothing really published. Its their choice, they can do it. And because we have no tool which can give you the data out of the files, you or we have to gather those datas manually. Hard work for something which will bring us not much benefits because, hell nobody would listen to us. Feel free to run against windmills but I doubt you will have a lot of fun.
Messerschmitt-AG Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 Hi, It's a pity if that is the case. I guess I will have to do manual flight testing of the aircraft. Then analyse the data sets. Conclude the performance characteristics. All I want to do is be able to compare the strengths and weaknesses of various aircraft to develop tactics and tips for each aircraft. Best Regards, Colin
Messerschmitt-AG Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Hi all, Delighted to see the reversal of policy, if that is what it is, with the latest post in the developer diary (123 - February 26th 2016). This is what I have been asking for all along. A reference point for aircraft performance. I appreciate the concerns developers have about releasing such information but I am here for historical air combat not politics or ego or free access to expensive data. CUDOS Eagerly awaiting the Battle of Moscow, Best Regards, Colin
