Want to get back into CoD

My guess would be that he flew a 109 and was not aware that the manual prop pitch axis is reversed in the 109 in comparison to the Spitfire/Hurricane's. So he applied full throttle with a coarse pitch.

had no problems. bought cod on steam and installed all patches. though I think planes in cod have even less weight / mass than bos

this might have something to do with perception, remember BoS is built on the RoF engine and the perception of flight was much slower in RoF and the same might apply to Bos giving the allusion of "weight"

Compared to the DCS P51 and some XP AC even BOS AC seam like feathers...

Well,

I actually find the overall fell of aircraft in CloD probably the closest to reality I have found so far in a flight simulator. I am really having a unique experience with that flightsim!

I'm a long time user of X-Plane, and indeed using all of the tools available, aircraft models in that flightsim platform can indeed be made to match very closely their RW counterparts, but overall they do, specially the default taht come with the sim, behave like if they were RC models.

One thing that I do find very well modeled in BOS though, but that again can be also modeled in XP, and in CloD is also plausible, is control response at higher G loads, where for instance in the Bf109s and Fw190 "pilot" can run out of elevator authority if for instance she / he tries to recover from a highspeed dive. In CloD though you will correctly enter an accelerated stall...

Overall, if I sum up all the good and not so good things about BOS and CloD, and DCS... I have to almost place them in the 1st place ex-aequo :)
