No601_Swallow Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Would it be possible for a new subforum dedicated to those fellow simmers who really really really want to express their displeasure/disappointment/feelings of betrayal, etc, about the game? I can't speak for anyone else, but personally I come to this forum to learn about what's new about the sim, communicate with other players, pick up tips on how to fly better and make my game run smoother. Unfortunately, though, it's just becoming a depressing whinge-fest. The constructive or interesting voices are being drowned out by the "OMG!! Call this a sim????!!!! It's worse than WT!!!" tendency. So I find it more and more difficult to find news and information that I'd be interested in. I know what people think is wrong with the sim. I even know more or less who thinks what on this forum, because good grief they've said it enough! So, perhaps if people had their own forum to express this, so that I don't have to wade through the angst, my life would be a little bit sunnier, and I would be enjoying this amazing sim a little more. Please? Pretty please? 3
vonPilsner Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Yes, can't get too far into a positive thread before the 'it's not perfect, was better in beta, where's feature x?' crowd shows up. I get that most want the game to be better (as they see it), but it gets old reading the same people constantly complaining about the game and checking in from time to time to let us know they are not playing it anymore.

johncage Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 it's the suggestion forum. if devs aren't going to listen, it's a moot proposal anyway. judging by way things are heading, devs seem happy with the current direction. i doubt they're going to remove unlocks, so best to live with that and ask for changes where it would be plausible, like better campaign missions 1

dburne Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Well many of those still voicing concerns , are those that are remaining hopeful and hanging around to see if maybe something might be changing direction. After all, Jason did put up a poll on the unlocks, and while no promises were made it did lead some to believe that maybe - just maybe, they will rethink some of the system they now have in place. After a period of time though, most of folks that fit the above will start to check in less and less often, and eventually will disappear to other things. Good thing? Bad thing? Who knows... But really I have not seen anywhere near the " whine fest" , that was around right after the SP Campaign system was unleashed with the unlocks. In fact, I would say things have begun getting rather quiet around here. I certainly have no trouble easily finding worthwhile posts to read.

What needs to happen is that some of us need to come to grips with things as they are and either be patient and see what is forthcoming or move on until it meets their requirements. I chose for myself the former based on the past two years. Everyone has a choice to make. All this constant complaining about the same things by the same folks over and over will gain nothing. If you think the devs do not know of the level of discontent you are wrong. They can and do read and perhaps they are too busy trying to move the project forward to respond to the googobs of complaints being launched daily over the last month. Creating a sub forum just for the complaints we all know all to well will serve no purpose save to aggrivate the situation farther.
