But i had my game on a different drive.
all it took was to launch, nope... can  not check for latest version.

close
empty updates folder
re-launch
get 75MB update
PLAY

login

check profile... yep, all my Bombs n Guns n skins are there.

On the technical note...

The only thing that might prevent others to get ready as fast as i did is the directX routine.

If you reinstall windows and launch the game, the error window will tell you to reinstall.
This would mean re-downloading the entire shebang again. Which might suck.

 

In that case, launch the setup Program and only do the DirectX part of the installation.
not everything.

 

with directX and your old game, you should be set

windows+drivers+directX+game

I similar situation, I only put some D3D9...DLL on System32 folder.
