Is there any way to turn off all HUD except multiplayer chat?

We have beautiful 3d cockpits, painstakingly recreated historically accuracy, with real time shadows and ambient occlusion, and detailed textures.

I have trackIR and would like to use the real dials for all my engine management and navigation but before I can look down to check my RPM and manifold pressure the garish fluoro techno chat pops up and tells me what my throttle is in % and that my engine is in "climb mode".  Well I could just ignore it and lean down to check the dials anyway but what would be the point? I already know because of the technochat . So the techno chat makes the cockpit dials redundant.

Ofcourse I can turn it off but as I only play multiplayer I am also turning off the chat and now noone can tell me anything and I miss import radio messages like when a teammate is injured.

I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be able turn the training wheels icons off but leave the multiplayer chat on .

Any way if I'm on not responding to chat you know why.

Go to settings/flight interface and use the drop down menus to turn flight messages and instrument panel off.

Using expert settings, all your screen will now show is the chat box for radio messages and the yellow ingame messages.

This has been discussed on several occasions, you can search.

Whenever I want to search I always search in Google not in the game - most website search functions are fairly useless, this one is no different.

Type in "Battle Stalingrad how to turn off technochat" into Google, first search reply is a SimHQ thread telling you how to do it.

Might be a useful tip for questions you have in future. :)

You bought a game. You thought you were buying a simulator, but you bought a game.

Nothing at all wrong with that of course. I spent weeks trying to finish Mario Kart. Loved every minute. Seriously. :)

well yes this game will never be the simulator some of us hoped for. But I have had some fun playing multiplayer.  A pair of us flying Lagg3 on coms vs10 noobs in bf109 on the other team... was a lot of fun shooting them down. Anyone who joins the team that already has 9 to 2 advantage, and the better planes, deserves to be shot down in flames...

The devs may have snatched failure from the jaws of victory by alienating the hard core multiplayer fans. Insisting everyone with thousands of hours experience go back to shooting bots in offline mode was... mysterious ?

Thanks for the search with google tips.. ill try that next time
