Gun sight upon firing

Hi all

 

Every time I fire cannons, my gun sight increases as if I am zooming forward in the cockpit.

 

Can anyone tell me what it's called and how to cancel the effect?

hmmm maybe some conflict setting for the cannon fire

First thing I would do is look at the key binds for the cannon, if there is an orange square in the box it means that the key binding is in use by some other action and you may be getting a conflict.

 

If there is no conflict I would try deleting the contents of the input folder (after backing them up somewhere).

 

Input folder is under: ..../IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad/data/input

 

I do recall someone else had the exact same problem - can't remember how to fix it though, sorry.

No I wouldn't call it silly or even ask it be deleted. None of us knows all the inner workings in this or any game. It's just another thread that might help someone else in the future.

Actually, this happened to me as well after the 1.004 update. I didn't say anything about it initially, but maybe it's more common than thought.

 

Probably good to leave this up for anyone else who might need it in the future.
